Immediate temp IT Tech Support role for about 3 months, with potential contract-to-hire.

TITLE: IT Technical Support

LOCATION: Camarillo, CA 93010 – onsite

NOTICE: MUST live locally near 93010 and be able to travel to 91361 occasionally.

DURATION: To be determined – potential contract-to-hire, approx. 3 months+

HOURLY: $30/hr non‑exempt

Requirements & Responsibilities

100% onsite

Location preference: Camarillo, CA 93010 (open to other locations noted)

Clean CDL to drive to other locations as needed – mileage covered.

Hourly Pay Rate: $30/hr non‑exempt

Not currently working – available immediately; open to 3 months plus and potential full time.

Years of experience with deskside support, Windows 11, O365, adding machine to domain, setting up users, reimage machines using Dell Image Assist.

Working towards additional degrees & certs.

Positive proactive personality dealing with different levels of people and great at documentation.

OVERVIEW Providing local client IT support for the LA Region (Camarillo, Thousand Oaks, Hawthorne, Torrance, El Segundo, CA).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install hardware/software, perform hardware refreshes, and manage break‑fix of hardware/software.

Respond to all tickets assigned to the site’s deskside support group and resolve issues efficiently.

Research and utilize necessary resources to troubleshoot new problems; escalating those that cannot be resolved.

Record and track interactions with end‑users and related activities in the service desk tool.

Create Knowledge Base articles for repetitive issues.

PC configuration and troubleshooting – OS, hardware, and software.

PC maintenance/preventative maintenance.

Network cabling activities, where applicable.

Printer installation, networking, configuration and troubleshooting.

New user setup on Active Directory network.

Support for client applications and peripheral devices.

Support equipment used in conference rooms and auditorium.

Provide IT support for all local systems/applications.

Perform project work as directed.

Work as part of the LA Regional IT Team supporting multiple sites.

Follow policies and procedures to ensure a safe, secure, updated computing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree in a related field or IT certifications preferred with 3 years’ experience in an IT service & support role; OR

High School diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in an IT service & support role; or equivalent combination.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

Basic mathematical skills.

Problem solving – routine and moderate complexity following instructions.

Detailed knowledge of Windows 10, Active Directory, and ability to learn new technologies.

Intermediate understanding of PC hardware, operating systems, and networking.
