The East Central Ohio ESC is excited to add a Drivers Education Coordinator to support the Drive to Succeed grant. The new position will serve as a liaison between the ECOESC office, driving instructors, partner driving schools, and parents/students to ensure program excellence and operational efficiency. This position will oversee the management of the Drive to Succeed grant, ensuring all required documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner. The Coordinator will also work closely with students, school districts and other ESCs to promote the scholarship program and assist with registration and requirements. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with relevant work experience in business administration, education, transportation management or field directly related to the position Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in education program coordination, grant management, driver training, or transportation management State driver’s education certification or eligibility for certification preferred A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment Compliance with drug-free workplace rules and Board policies Responsibilities

Coordinates driver education options within the assigned region and directs participants to programs suitable for their individual needs Assists students with enrollment into the appropriate online/classroom courses and behind-the-wheel instruction according to individual needs Verifies eligibility for Drive to Succeed scholarships and works with students to complete the required application process Tracks student progression and follows-up with participants to ensure required instruction and driving hours are completed in a timely manner Manages all documentation and record-keeping requirements as required by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and Drive to Succeed Grant Submits required documentation and reconciles monthly reimbursement of scholarship funds; works with the fiscal office to manage grant funds accordingly Maintains a positive rapport with parents, students, and school districts requiring assistance with enrollment, documentation, and licensing requirements Collaborates with other regional Drive to Succeed programs/ESCs to provide consistent communication related to the grant (i.e. marketing materials, website, presentations, etc.) Provides regular feedback on grant processes and student participation; addresses concerns in a timely manner with the supervisor, superintendent or appropriate stakeholder(s) Shares regular updates with school districts and ESCs through email, in-person presentations, virtual meetings, etc. to promote participation Participates in training and staff development as required May assist with drivers education classroom or in-car instruction as required Performs other specific job-related duties as assigned Some travel may be required Skills & Abilities

Ability to exercise tact and handle information that is confidential, sensitive or controversial Ability to deal effectively and diplomatically with students, parents and other professionals regarding concerns Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records Effective use of listening, observation, reading, verbal/nonverbal and writing skills Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner Demonstrates professionalism and compassion for students whose learning or needs may be impacted by outside factors Bilingual communication skills are preferred, but not required Interested candidates should submit a letter of interest and resume to Nanette McFadden, Executive Director of Human Resources via email – nanette.mcfadden@ecoesc.org
