Our client, a dynamic construction company, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bilingual Bookkeeper to join their team on a temp‑to‑hire basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to accurate financial management in a fast‑paced environment, with potential for permanent placement based on performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, vendor payments, and client billing
Perform bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries
Assist with job costing, tracking project expenses, and monitoring budgets
Process payroll, including any certified payroll requirements as needed
Prepare financial reports and support month‑end/close processes
Reconcile credit cards, loans, and other accounts
Ensure accurate and timely financial record‑keeping using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and team members in both English and Spanish
Qualifications
Proven experience as a bookkeeper (2+ years preferred; construction industry experience a strong plus)
Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including full‑charge bookkeeping
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) required for effective communication
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
Familiarity with construction‑specific accounting (e.g., job costing, AIA billing) is highly desirable
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required
