This is a Charge/Lead Nurse position located at Central Prison Healthcare Complex in Raleigh, which houses approximately 1,318 close custody male offenders. The Perioperative/Operating Room nurse provides care to patients before, during, and after surgical or endoscopy procedures. The role includes patient education, functioning as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, and/or first assistant, and supervising other allied personnel. RN/Charge Nurse – NOW ELIGIBLE FOR A $7,500 SIGN-ON BONUS. To be eligible, the candidate must not have worked as a probationary, permanent, or time-limited employee in the last 12 months as an employee subject to the State Human Resources Act. Minimum Education and Experience
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and one year of nursing experience. Key Responsibilities Providing direct patient care in the pre/post-operative areas while assisting with the preparation, recovery, and discharge of patients for surgical and endoscopy procedures. Circulate and scrub surgical/procedural cases within Endoscopy, ENT, Orthopedic, Podiatry, Urology, and General Surgery. Independently prepare for surgical cases, including acquiring instrumentation, equipment, and supplies, and provide direction to the surgical team and unlicensed personnel. Exemplify perioperative standards of care, including infection control, processing/sterilization of instrumentation, endoscope cleaning, and maintaining a clean OR environment. Posting Details
