Qualifications (Minimum):
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate’s Degree, Nursing Diploma, Bachelor’s in Nursing, or Master’s in Nursing.
Valid RN license.
One (1) year Registered Nursing experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
Strong work ethic and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two or more years of nursing experience with current Basic Life Support (BLS).
Previous experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Additional Information: Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment, including N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR), or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
Responsibilities:
Collect and document assessment data.
Develop a Plan of Care (POC) per standard guidelines.
Implement POC, including medical orders and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Evaluate patient progress toward desired outcomes.
Provide effective patient/family education and discharge planning.
Administer medication per standard, including drug information to patients/families.
Act as a resource/support for others; deliver patient care using the principles of the defined nursing modality.
Delegate care based on UAMS standards, legal and regulatory requirements, specific job description, and individual level of education and training.
Contribute to a positive work environment conducive to clinical education while serving as a resource for student nurses and staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
