Job Description Summary: Provide instruction that fulfills the requirements of the NC Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy and the North Carolina Community College System for Clinical massage courses.
Duties
Teach courses specific to the clinical massage program, meeting or exceeding requirements/regulations of the North Carolina Community College System and North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy.
Model world‑class service in a hands‑on educational environment that emphasizes whole body wellness.
Monitor inventory of supplies, maintain safety and sanitation of the department, complete and maintain student grade and attendance records.
Be aware of standards and be able to adjust to varying roles as an adjunct Clinical Massage Instructor.
Establish rapport with coordinator, instructors, clients, peers and students.
1. Graduation from a regionally accredited institution and three years’ documented exceptional work experience as licensed massage therapist.
2. Currently holds North Carolina State Board of Massage and Bodyworks license in good standing.
3. Experience teaching adults.
4. Experience in clinical massage.
5. Computer literacy, particularly in Word and Excel.
Minimim Requirements
Graduation from a regionally accredited institution.
Three years’ documented exceptional work experience as licensed massage therapist.
Currently holds North Carolina State Board of Massage and Bodyworks license in good standing.
Experience teaching adults.
Experience in clinical massage.
Computer literacy, particularly in Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in field pertinent to massage therapy.
Community college teaching experience in therapeutic massage.
Five years’ documented exceptional work experience as a licensed massage therapist.
