Position Phlebotomist II Full time Contract Location Ramsey, MN Duration 3 months Responsibilities Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. Direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skilful, safe, and accurate manner. Verifies patient demographic info/initials, including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct. Maintains required records and documentation. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED). Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Work Experience Phlebotomy certification preferred. Required in California, Nevada, and Washington. 6 months to 1 year phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections. 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred. Customer service in a retail or service environment highly preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience. Pay Range $21 - $25.00 per hour.
