Job Summary

The Human Development Institute (HDI) at the University of Kentucky, Kentucky’s Center on Disability, seeks a Disability Program Administrator I to support the statewide Child Care Aware network. The role serves as an Early Childhood Training Content Developer, leading collaboration with the Child Care Aware training coach team to identify, develop, and assess statewide early childhood training needs aligned with regional initiatives.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the training coach team to identify early care and education training needs aligned with Child Care Aware of Kentucky’s statewide initiatives. Lead efforts to address required training needs for early care and education staff and credentialed trainers across the state. Develop engaging and effective training content in collaboration with team members and subject matter experts. Assess and determine statewide training needs to ensure compliance and quality standards.

Qualifications

Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in early childhood education, human development, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience developing training programs or content for early childhood or related professionals. Experience with statewide early childhood or child care training initiatives is preferred. Strong background and knowledge of early childhood education best practices. Hold or be willing to obtain the Kentucky State Credential for Early Childhood Trainers (Level 4 or higher).

Skills and Knowledge

Proficiency in MS Windows, Microsoft Office, Zoom, Teams, training development tools, and data entry.
