Job Description Ohio Department of Public Safety - Ohio State Highway Patrol Report In Location: 1970 W Broad Street, Columbus 43223 Hours Worked: 7:30am to 4:30pm; Hours May Vary ***THIS POSITION REPORTS INTO THE OFFICE 5 DAYS A WEEK***

What You'll Do As A Customer Service Assistant 2 with Central Records Respond to internal & external customers requesting copies of records, investigations, results, information, etc. in accordance with Ohio Public Records Law & all applicable Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) & Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) policies & procedures. Utilize computer program &/or software to redact personal &/or confidential information within requested documents & audio &/or video recordings. Process transactions that require decisions to be made in accordance with applicable laws, rules, policies & procedures & involve collection of money for transactions handled. Receive application for a cash report & associated fees for copies of crash reports, complete pay-ins, assign controlling number & attach accompanying payment. Assist in processing of invoices for public record requests, OSHP traffic crash reports & other various crash reports in accordance with Ohio Public Records Law, ORC & all applicable ODPS & OSHP policies & procedures.

Qualifications 9 months training or experience in office practices & procedures 9 months training or experience in public relations or customer service that included techniques for handling difficult people 9 months training or experience in typing, keyboarding, data entry or word processing 9 months training or experience in operation of personal computer or equivalent to Minimum Qualifications for Employment noted above.
