The Facilities Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the operational readiness, safety, and efficiency of Wanzl North America’s facilities, grounds, and infrastructure. This salaried position is responsible for coordinating maintenance activities across Plants 1–3 in Newton, offices and warehouse in Denver, and the LIP Distribution Center, managing contractors, and supporting facility‑related projects and renovations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial facility maintenance, contractor management, and project coordination/management. They will be proactive in implementing preventative maintenance programs, responding to work order requests, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role requires a hands‑on approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate maintenance of facilities, grounds, and infrastructure across multiple plant locations using the CMMS software.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for buildings, safety systems, and infrastructure.

Respond to and manage work order requests in a timely and effective manner.

Oversee external contractors (e.g., HVAC, janitorial, fire protection, roofing, recycling).

Support renovation and office readiness projects acting as the project manager for small and medium sized projects.

Conduct inspections and testing of fire protection systems, boilers, emergency lighting, and cooling water systems.

Participate in safety and environmental initiatives and ensure compliance with company standards.

Maintain documentation and records related to maintenance activities and contractor performance.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

Associate degree in Facilities Management, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field required; equivalent experience may be considered.

Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities maintenance.

Proven experience managing contractors and coordinating facility projects.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and maintenance/project management software.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to work independently and lead others effectively.

Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and make decisions under pressure.

Familiarity with safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Proficiency in using CMMS software and analyzing maintenance data.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.

Excellent problem‑solving skills and a data‑driven approach to decision‑making.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.

Hands‑on, self‑motivated.
