Job Summary
Low Voltage Cable Technician – Entry-Level & Experienced. Technicians need to be available to help pull cable and terminate keystone‑style jacks at a large construction site.
Responsibilities
Pulling, terminating and testing cat5/6 and fiber optic cables.
Installing cabling infrastructure such as racks and cabinets.
Installing network racks and cabinets in server rooms.
Reviewing all job documentation for assigned projects, including floor plans, equipment locations, reflected ceiling plans, conduit call‑outs, wall elevations, signal flow diagrams and cable pull schedules.
Physical and Work Conditions The role requires the employee to regularly stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl and stoop. The employee uses hands to finger, handle, feel objects and type on a keyboard, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Use of power tools is required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 months of cabling experience (or cabling trade school experience).
Experience pulling, terminating and testing cat5/6.
Reliable transportation.
Must pass a driving background check.
Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
PPE before starting: hard hat with chin straps, safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, vest.

Impact tool (punchdown for 66 and 100 block)

Job Type & Location Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $20.00 – $21.00 per hour.
