The Bookkeeper will work in conjunction with the Finance Team to handle the day-to‑day business accounting and financials. He/she acts in the best interest of clients, the firm, and employees through a balance of diplomacy, confidentiality, and strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and be located within commuting distance of Towson, MD, or be willing to relocate independently.

Managing bank and general ledger reconciliations
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Posting and updating journal entries
Performing month‑end closings
Screening and routing phone calls in a courteous, professional, and friendly manner
Backing up the Administrative Associate team on all duties
Specific Measures of Success
Quickly responds to requests and resolves open tasks
Proactively eliminates obstacles before they become issues
Demonstrates efficiency in working with multiple stakeholders across multiple sites by leveraging firm resources and tools
High degree of pride in the accuracy and quality of your work product
Zero preventable errors in daily tasks and other recurring tasks
Industry/Business Experience and Education Minimum 1 year of experience working in an accounting role in a professional business setting and/or financial services setting. A college degree in Accounting or comparable years of business‑related experience is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
Always focused on client needs and customer service
Expert in most Microsoft Office applications and QuickBooks. Comfortable learning and navigating new technology and software applications.
Detail‑oriented and methodical
Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities
Follows up and follows through
Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, changing environment
A self‑starter who is proactive and independent
Requirements/Additional Information The annualized starting base salary range is $55,000-$70,000 based on experience, with the opportunity to earn a discretionary annual bonus of up to 10% of earnings. This is a non‑exempt position. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable law.
This individual will report to the Director of Finance
The first 90 days will include an extensive onboarding/training program.
After the first 90 days, and with manager approval, the candidate will be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement—allowing a specified number of remote workdays per month in accordance with the firm’s hybrid work policy.
