We are looking for a Permanent Full Time Master Level Reefer Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet in Sterling, Virginia.

Position Description Immediately hiring. Full time, permanent, master level. Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.

Pay:

$42.00 per hour

with bonuses: Sign‑On $2,500 at 30 and 90 days; Quarterly bonus up to $500.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

Post‑secondary vocational or technical certification (preferred)

Four or more years of relevant work experience (preferred)

Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A (preferred)

All other certifications required for location (required)

Basic tools required

Demonstrated aptitude in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine maintenance, diagnostics, and advanced repairs.

Ability to perform all T3 tasks and demonstrate advanced analytical and repair skills.

Effective interpersonal communication, basic computer skills (PC, Windows).

Familiarity with shop computers and diagnostic test equipment.

Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs, available to work shifts, weekends, and on‑call duty.

Preferable ASE certification in PM, brakes, A/C, electrical, electronics or ASE Master Mechanic.

Ability to coach/mentor others.

Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire and pass required drug, physical, background checks.

Additional Requirements

Demonstrated advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenance.

Must have basic computer skills and be able to use shop computers and diagnostic equipment proficiently.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and be available to work shift work, weekends and on call duty.

Comply with all safety, DOT and MOT guidelines.

Responsibilities

Complete all OEM online diagnostic scan tool courses within 365 days and instructor‑led OEM courses as required.

Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard, preventive, and complex repairs.

Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal support, using diagnostic computers/software.

Perform remote triage with RCRC and customers to determine best solutions for roadside breakdowns.

Perform facility maintenance duties and interact with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.

Instruct other technicians and coach/mentor them on procedures and diagnostics.

Advise shop management and other technicians on shop repairs and utilize shop management system and documentation.

Work in accordance with all federal, provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (safety, DOT, MOT).

Other support duties as required, including but not limited to Service Island support.
