Office Specialist – Inside Higher Ed and Augusta University
Location:
Augusta University Campus – 1120 15th Street, Augusta, GA 30912 (Health Sciences Campus) or 2500 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30904 (Summerville Campus)

Job Summary Responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Prelicensure Nursing department and its affiliated programs.
Responsibilities
Oversee educational program support for degree programs within the Prelicensure Nursing department.
Collaborate with the College of Nursing's academic and student affairs offices to meet compliance requirements.
Manage information and documentation related to staff travel, supplies, check requests, and departmental documents.
Prepare agendas, take minutes, and support departmental and college-wide meetings.
Perform general office duties: document formatting, answering phones, greeting visitors, and routing communication.
Serve as backup to the department Office Coordinator.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university; OR High School Diploma or GED with at least three years of progressively responsible office support experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience working in an academic environment.
Abilities & Skills
Prioritize multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Handle a variety of customer situations with professionalism and resolution strategies.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Shift / Salary / Benefits Shift:
Days / Monday–Friday
Pay Band:
3
Salary Minimum:
$16.54/hour
Recruitment Period:
10/30/25 – Until Filled
Benefits may include health, dental, life insurance, Teacher Retirement System, vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays. Full-time employees are eligible for Tuition Assistance Program after six months.

For specific duties: credit check may be required for Positions of Trust or approved departmental Purchase Card usage.
Motor vehicle reports required for positions that require driving an Augusta University vehicle.
Faculty hires: proof of completed academic degree(s) and post-secondary coursework required.
