2026 Culinary Professionals - Special Diet (Allergen) Chef / Sous Chef (Seasonal Relocation)
Wolfoods, Inc. invites an experienced, motivated, and capable chef or sous‑chef to lead our summer camp kitchen program from May to September. All culinary staff will live on site – room, board, and travel assistance are provided.
The position requires flawless execution of the Wolfoods Camp Food Service Program, including planning, recipe execution, and strict sanitation practices to avoid cross‑contamination. The chef will create dishes for people with a variety of dietary restrictions, maintain clean surroundings, ensure accurate service timing, food quantity, and quality for all meal periods, and respond to special requests.
Responsibilities & Duties
Control inventory and estimate production needs
Assist in order placement and manage par levels
Supervise and coach kitchen and dining hall staff
Uphold Wolfoods Standards of Service & Quality
Maintain Health Department Sanitation Standards
Communicate with campers, staff, directors, managers, counselors, and parents
Attend training, meetings, and follow the comprehensive Camp Food Training Program
Use weights and measures for accurate recipe execution
Prepare all menu items and special request events, ensuring timing, quantity, quality, and plating standards
Actively engage in planning, scheduling, directing, and training staff
Recognize and maintain cross‑utilization importance
Recommend equipment purchases and act as front‑of‑house supervisor when needed
Qualifications & Requirements
2+ years Commercial Kitchen Experience
Minimum three professional references
Proficient in relevant culinary skills and special diet preparation
Quality‑driven, self‑motivated, and clean work environment awareness
Leadership and ability to work under pressure
Minimum 70‑hour, 6‑day work week; must live on site in a rural setting
Ability to stand long periods, lift a minimum of 50 lbs, bend, stretch, and reach
Must possess a ServSafe Allergens Certification (company‑sponsored) and identify the Big 9 Allergens
Cook from scratch with minimal supervision and adapt menus to various dietary needs
