Responsibilities
General training & comprehension – learn and perform job assignments of housekeeper, heavy housekeeper/floor tech, and laundry worker positions; operate and teach others how to use industrial cleaning equipment.
Leadership development – assist in training, quality control, and in‑servicing of staff according to policies, procedures, and federal/state requirements.
Policies & procedures – lead, support, and guide to ensure quality standards, inventory levels, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.
Reporting – maintain records of income/expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment in report format for HCSG and facility management.
Training – responsible for training, quality control and in‑servicing staff; assess work quality using QCIs and document findings.
Leadership – manage payroll submission, staffing patterns, coaching/discipline, purchasing, inventory, and budgeting.
Communication – effectively communicate all directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
Safety – use protective gear; mix and use cleaning solutions safely; report equipment/cleaning product issues; follow infection control and universal precautions.
Punctuality – consistent attendance and punctual arrival; timely completion of assigned cleaning area; respond to paging system promptly.
Customer experience – represent HCSG positively by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperating with supervisors, coworkers, and client staff.
Resident experience – positive, pleasant, tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.
Qualifications
Positive attitude and ability to follow oral and written instructions; perform routine repetitive tasks daily.
After completing training, apply leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities independently and safely.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic computer skills to maintain records and complete reports, including web‑based reporting.
Reliability: must be at work as scheduled and on time.
Compliance with COVID‑19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, or customers.
Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk extended periods.
Ability to perform routine repetitive tasks continuously.
Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
Must live in the service area.
