Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Care – Cumberland County
Position ID: 45569. For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign‑on bonuses for registered nurses.
Sign‑On Bonus
New graduates or RNs with up to 2 years of experience: $10,000 (full time)
RNs with more than 2 years of experience: $20,000 (full time)
Note: Bonuses are prorated for part‑time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth employees and former MaineHealth members who have separated less than 6 months ago are ineligible. Bonuses are paid once employment is confirmed.
Position Overview This is a part‑time RN position – 24 hours per week – Day Shift. The schedule is four days per week, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with participation in the weekend and holiday rotation.
Home Care Position Highlights
Enjoy a less stressful pace of work, treating one patient at a time
Case manage a set number of cases and follow patient cases from start to finish
Work closely with patients and families, building better relationships
Give your full, undivided attention to each patient
Educate patients and family members about care, treatment, and diagnosis in a thorough manner
Weekend scheduling – every 4th weekend rotation
Summary The Registered Nurse – Home Care role provides patient‑family centered quality care through assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care. Services may be provided on an outpatient or community basis.
Qualifications Education : Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
License/Certification : Current state license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
Driver’s License : Valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle, with vehicle available for work covered by liability insurance as specified by agency policy required.
Experience : Minimum of one year relevant experience, acute pediatric nursing experience strongly preferred.
