Maintenance Manager
A leading packaging manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee maintenance operations in a high-speed production environment. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader with a strong technical background in electrical, mechanical, and automated systems who thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented setting.
Experience with plastic packaging manufacturing is strongly preferred for this position.
Job Duties
Oversee all maintenance activities for plant equipment and systems
Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime
Troubleshoot and repair machinery and equipment as needed
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with operational standards
Manage spare parts inventory and maintain organized storage areas
Coordinate and oversee on‑site contractors and service providers
Lead, train, and develop a team of maintenance technicians
Assess training needs and support continuous skill development
Manage scheduling, time‑keeping, and performance evaluations for maintenance staff
Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with other departments to support production efficiency and reliability

What Makes You a Great Fit
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance leadership within manufacturing or related industries
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer-controlled machinery
Proven experience managing maintenance teams in a fast‑paced production setting
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and general industrial equipment
Physical Requirements
Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, and use hands to handle tools or equipment
Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate effectively
Occasionally required to sit
Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs. frequently, and occasionally over 50 lbs.
Must have close vision and the ability to focus on detail-oriented tasks
