About Hollywood Park Hollywood Park, a near 300‑acre sports and entertainment destination, is being developed by Los Angeles Rams Owner/Chairman E. Stanley Kroenke with the 70,000‑seat SoFi Stadium as its centerpiece. Payroll & People Operations Coordinator The payroll & people operations coordinator supports day‑to‑day payroll operations and people operations processes across the employee lifecycle. Reporting to the Manager, Benefits & People Operations and working closely with the Director, Total Rewards & People Operations, this role ensures accurate HRIS data management, precise payroll execution, and consistent people operations workflow support.

Key Responsibilities Payroll Administration and Support

Assist with biweekly payroll processing by validating timesheets, earnings codes, premiums, PTO, and employee data for accuracy.

Prepare payroll audit reports and assist with special payroll runs (retro pay, bonuses, adjustments, promotions).

Maintain accurate employee payroll records in Paycor and ensure high data integrity.

Respond to payroll‑related inquiries regarding pay, deductions, timekeeping, and cost‑center updates.

Support payroll compliance reporting, internal audits, and year‑end payroll processes.

Time and Attendance Monitoring and Audits

Monitor and audit timekeeping records to ensure compliance with California labor laws and company policies.

Review missed punches, meal/rest premiums, premium triggers, schedule discrepancies, and overtime exceptions.

Partner with managers to correct errors, ensure timely approvals, and escalate recurring issues.

Provide reporting and insights to people operations and leadership regarding timekeeping trends and exceptions.

Compensation Support

Assist the director with processing compensation changes, including annual increases, market adjustments, promotions, bonuses, and off‑cycle compensation actions.

Update compensation data in Paycor and ensure accurate reflection of salary, grade, bonus, and job information.

Prepare compensation reports and audit data for internal equity, compa‑ratio reviews, and payroll readiness.

Maintain confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive compensation information.

People Operations & HRIS Support

Process employee lifecycle transactions, including new hires, job changes, compensation updates, and terminations.

Maintain HRIS workflows to ensure timely and accurate updates across systems.

Generate recurring and ad‑hoc HR, payroll, and people operations reports (headcount, status changes, turnover, payroll exceptions).

Support documentation and SOP maintenance for people operations functions.

Identify process‑improvement opportunities to streamline HR workflows.

Onboarding and Offboarding Administration

Coordinate administrative components of new hire onboarding, including HRIS setup, E‑Verify, I‑9 compliance, and system access requests.

Prepare and distribute onboarding materials and ensure new hire documentation is completed accurately.

Coordinate offboarding steps, collect company property, close out system access, and update HRIS/payroll systems accordingly.

Support background checks, credential verification, and onboarding compliance steps.

Compliance, Documentation, and Audits

Maintain accurate personnel files and ensure compliance with retention and regulatory requirements.

Support internal HR, payroll, and audit activities (I‑9 audits, payroll reconciliations, garnishment setup, etc.).

Assist in managing compliance training assignments and tracking for operational departments.

Ensure consistent adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations.

Fitness for Role

Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Experience: 1–3 years of related HR, payroll, or administrative experience.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive HR, payroll, and compensation data.

Willingness to learn and a genuine interest in developing a career in people operations.

Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and seek clarification when needed.

Excellent communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace; experience with HRIS or payroll systems such as Paycor (preferred), ADP, or Workday is a plus.

Proactive, collaborative, can‑do attitude, and customer‑service mindset.

PHR or SHRM‑CP certification preferred but not required.

CPP certification preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements Employees must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower‑back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Compensation $24 to $27 per hour.

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, compensation information provided is a good faith estimate for this position only. Hollywood Park considers a candidate’s education, certification, prior experience, as well as internal and external data when determining the salary level for potential new employees. Only in exceptional circumstances would Hollywood Park consider paying a salary near the higher end of the range.
