Responsibilities The incumbent will perform a wide range of analytical, administrative, and operational support duties essential to the efficient functioning and effective management of the office. Responsibilities include:
Conducting research and utilizing problem‑solving techniques to resolve complex administrative or governmental problems.
Preparing concise written and/or verbal responses to complex human‑resource related issues.
Analyzing situations, adopting effective courses of action, reasoning logically and creatively, and consulting with administrators and other stakeholders on subject matter within the assignment.
Managing personnel and fiscal matters, purchasing, safety, organization, training, and modern office methods and equipment.
Qualifications Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications stated in the Classification Specification and be eligible for the Associate Governmental Program Analyst examination. Desired qualifications include:
General knowledge of the Division of Engineering Services and its subdivisions.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new computer software applicable to job duties.
Special Requirements
Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state‑owned or leased vehicle.
Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required. The SOQ must be typed, no more than two pages in length, using 12‑point Arial font.
Applicants providing proof of minimum qualifications based on education, license, or certificate must include relevant transcripts, diplomas, or certificates.
