The

Catholic Administrative Pastoral Life Coordinator

provides administrative, liturgical, and pastoral program support to the Roman Catholic community at Fort Moore. Working in coordination with the Catholic Priest/Chaplain, the Religious Support Office (RSO), and the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS), this role ensures the smooth execution of Catholic worship services, sacramental preparation, records management, and parish communications. Services are delivered in accordance with Army Regulation 165-1, AMS policies, and installation chaplaincy procedures. This is a full-time, non-personal services contract position and does not constitute federal employment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Administrative & Program Support

Attend and actively participate in weekly Catholic parish meetings.

Develop and distribute a monthly Catholic Community calendar including Mass schedules, religious education programs, Holy Days, special events, and closures.

Maintain accurate Catholic Community registration records and provide monthly updates.

Track and report attendance for Catholic community events and programs.

Liturgical & Sacramental Support

Prepare liturgical books, vessels, unconsecrated hosts, and wine for each Mass in accordance with installation SOPs and AMS standards.

Support sacramental preparation by collecting required documentation and preparing sacramental records in the AMS online portal for priest certification.

Assist in preparing documentation required for AMS Quarterly Clergy Reports.

Communications & Publicity

Create and distribute a weekly Catholic bulletin containing Mass schedules, parish announcements, and community information.

Coordinate facility reservation requests and prepare publicity materials for Holy Days of Obligation, worship services, and special events.

Submit monthly reports documenting consumed materials and supplies.

Professional & Compliance Duties

Maintain professional conduct consistent with U.S. military religious support standards.

Protect sensitive information, including Personally Identifiable Information (PII), in accordance with Army and DoD policy.

Comply with installation access requirements, background screening, and required training.

Education and/or Experience Required:

Practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.

Ability to obtain

Catechist Certification through AMS

within 90 days of contract award.

Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Demonstrated ability to manage administrative records with accuracy, discretion, and attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate effectively within a chaplaincy or parish environment.

Preferred Skills:

Prior experience supporting Catholic parish administration, religious education, or chaplaincy programs.

Familiarity with Catholic liturgy, sacramental preparation processes, and parish communications.

Experience working with youth or volunteer-based ministry programs.

Work Environment & Schedule

Full-time position supporting the Fort Moore Catholic community calendar and mission requirements.

Schedule may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, particularly for Masses and Holy Days of Obligation.

Work is performed

on-site at a government installation .

Government-furnished workspace and basic equipment will be provided.

All work products produced under this position are Government property.

Security, Eligibility, and Compliance Requirements

Ability to successfully complete a

Tier 1 background investigation , including State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) checks.

Eligibility to work with children and youth under Army child protection standards.

Willingness to comply with recurring background re-verification requirements.

Must comply with all applicable installation policies, Chaplain Corps procedures, and AMS program requirements.

Required Training (Post-Hire) Selected candidates must complete required trainings, including:

OPSEC Level I Training (initial and annual)

iWATCH Training

DoD Cyber Awareness Training

PII Safeguarding Training

Child Protection Training
