Devereux Florida is a nonprofit behavioral health organization that provides a wide range of services for children, adolescents, and families across the state. Our programs support individuals with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, including those with autism, trauma histories, or intellectual disabilities. Services include residential treatment, therapeutic foster care, outpatient counseling, crisis intervention, and community-based supports. Devereux Florida focuses on individualized, trauma-informed care, helping youth stabilize, heal, and transition to less restrictive environments with ongoing family involvement and support. As the Utilization Review Coordinator at Devereux Florida, you will work with other dedicated professionals internally and externally who share your passion for helping others, and ensuing a fluid collaborative Admissions and Utilization Review process for the children’s psychiatric residential treatment programs throughout the state of Florida. This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining admission utilization review on each client’s appropriateness for admission and treatment. Facilitates and monitors discharges and needed aftercare services for each individual served. Must maintain current knowledge on the multitude of funding sources and ensure compliance with mandated requirements and standards.
Position Details Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm. This is in-person position. Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in the field of behavior analysis, mental health, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or a human services field required
Experience
1+ year working targeted case management, medical billing/record keeping, utilization management, discharge management, or related clinical service experience. required
Strong MS Office Suite experience. required
Other Requirements
Valid Florida driver’s license
Successfully pass pre‑employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test.
