Position Overview

Devereux Florida is a nonprofit behavioral health organization providing services for children, adolescents, and families across the state. Our programs support individuals with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, including autism, trauma histories, or intellectual disabilities. Services include residential treatment, therapeutic foster care, outpatient counseling, crisis intervention, and community-based supports. The Utilization Review Coordinator will work with dedicated professionals internally and externally to ensure a fluid collaborative Admissions and Utilization Review process for the children's psychiatric residential treatment programs throughout Florida. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining admission utilization review for each client’s appropriateness for admission and treatment, facilitating and monitoring discharges and aftercare services, and maintaining current knowledge on funding sources and ensuring compliance with mandated requirements and standards.
Position Details Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (in‑person position).
Salary: Starts at $20.25 hr, subject to increase based on relevant experience and education.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in behavior analysis, mental health, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or a human services field (required).
Experience & Qualifications
1+ year of targeted case management, medical billing/record keeping, utilization management, discharge management, or related clinical service experience (required).
Strong MS Office Suite experience (required).
Other Requirements
Valid Florida driver’s license.
Successfully pass pre‑employment medical screenings which include a drug test.
