Job Title: Phlebotomist - KearnyJob Description We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team, where you will be responsible for performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontaminating equipment, and updating patient information. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of specimen collection and handling. Clearly and courteously explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collections to patients. * Verify test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure accuracy. * Attend annual department training sessions. * Answer telephone inquiries and provide laboratory results. Proficiency in blood drawing and phlebotomy. * At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a high-volume patient service center or oncology center. GED or high school diploma required. * Work hours are Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 12 AM and Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 PM. This role provides an opportunity to work within smaller in-office doctor settings or patient service centers, offering exposure to various work environments within a larger organization. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kearny, NJ.
