Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday 10:00 am – 7:00 pm. Sunday and Monday off. Pay Rate: $17.75 per hour.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of food and beverages for consumption by students. Assist in kitchen clean‑up to facilitate sanitizing of all food service areas. Provide supervision and training to Job Corps Work‑Based Learning students assigned to the department. Assist in the preparation and presentation of quality food. Render good customer service skills and engage young adults. Assist in kitchen clean‑up, wash dishes, clean and sanitize the food preparation area to ensure sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas. Transport finished meals from the preparation area to the serving line and keep serving counters stocked with prepared food. Produce quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner. Maintain appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards. Plan, prioritize and organize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines. Understand and apply job knowledge to effectively complete all required job responsibilities. Proactively maintain the skills required to perform job duties. Mentor, monitor and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH. Provide high‑quality supervision and management for the student population, take swift and appropriate action and positively influence student behavior. Show respect and courtesy to students and hold them accountable for their actions and behavior. Provide quality services for students, ensuring that quality is maintained and student needs are met, and pursue improvement and enhancement of requisite services. Exchange ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contribute meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provide quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested. Effectively articulate thoughts and ideas, identify problems, analyze causes and evaluate appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follow up to ensure prompt / appropriate action is taken and that problems are in fact corrected. Work in partnership with staff from all departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students. Accept direction and supervision from the Center Director / Center Duty Officer / Shift Manager including assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Advanced degree preferred. Previous experience in food service preferred. Must be able to obtain ServSafe credentials. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrate the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or assess the lift load to ask for necessary assistance. Adams & Associates, Inc. abides by the requirements of 41 CFR 60‑300.5(a) and 60‑741.5(a).
