Job Summary:
Practice as a fully credentialed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner caring for plastic surgery hand patients under the direction of an attending physician.

Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage patients who are candidates for plastic or reconstructive surgery, including obtaining a thorough history, performing a physical examination, and ordering diagnostic testing.
Cover pager call for consults and patient requests to the hand and extremity service.
Communicate with patients (and families) to provide education about the risks and benefits of surgical procedures.
Triage patient telephone calls/emails and provide consultation.
Provide monitoring and continuity of care for patients between physician visits.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Electronically document all relevant data regarding patient care in a timely manner and maintain patient confidentiality.
Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
Work onsite in Aurora, CO.
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Master's Degree - Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Colorado license required prior to start date.
Ability to obtain prescriptive authority (DEA Licensed).
Preferred Qualifications:
1 year previous experience in a surgical sub-specialty.
1 year previous experience working in an academic hospital.
