Job Posting: Analyst II – Forensic Services
Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero (ASH)
Salary: $6,031.00 – $7,547.00 per month (minimum salary or alternate range for new to State candidates)

Responsibilities
Maintain the accuracy and timeliness of maximum commitment dates for all hospital legal classes.
Serve as a liaison for internal and external stakeholders on inquiries related to any legal class.
Make arithmetical computations to determine maximum commitment date applying applicable custody credits and enhancements according to Penal Code.
Analyze and interpret forensic reports, court orders and subpoenas, recognize discrepancies and request corrections as needed.
Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
Provide cross‑training on all legal desks, give backup to other analysts, and fully process all duties outlined in all legal desk procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Four years of analytical, technical, clerical, or customer‑service experience (accredited college/university education may be substituted on a year‑for‑year basis).
One additional year of professional analytical or technical experience equivalent to an Analyst I, Range C.
Eligibility by certification, transfer, or reinstatement. If not eligible, applicants must take the Analyst II Examination.
