Sr. Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities
Adhere to and enforce highest safety and good manufacturing practices across the plant.
Train and lead Operators, Mechanics, and Supervisors on technical procedures related to high‑speed bottle manufacturing and packaging.
Partner with plant leadership to develop and execute continuous improvement, upgrades, and resolution of recurring problems.
Rapidly identify machine problems to minimize equipment downtime and conduct root‑cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
Lead overhaul efforts to rebuild equipment to like‑new status during planned downtime.
Use software systems to analyze and identify issues to drive throughput performance.
Transfer knowledge to Niagara team members to develop operating and troubleshooting procedures in specialized areas such as blow molding (PET), filling/capping, labeling technology, dry‑end packaging, machine set‑up for all pack size changes, and common OEMs (Krones, Sidel, KHS, Sacmi, Tech Long).
Lead troubleshooting and repair of injection technology including Husky injection molding machines, auxiliary systems, mold systems, and plastic processing at high speeds with tight tolerances.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 years experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment.
Minimum 6 years experience in a maintenance technician position.
Minimum 4 years experience managing people or projects.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
Skilled in shop equipment such as hydraulic presses, bench grinder, drill press, mill, lathe, and power tools.
Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific machine or plant center.
Preferred 10+ years experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment, 10+ years experience in a maintenance technician position, 6 years experience managing people or projects.
Preferred 4 years experience with Krones, Husky, Sidel, or other bottling equipment.
Preferred 1 year experience leading and developing others on equipment repair, 2 years experience creating process improvements.

Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED.
