Sr. Maintenance Technician Essential Functions

Adhere to and enforce the highest standards in safety and good manufacturing practices plant-wide Train and lead Operators, Mechanics and Supervisors on technical procedures related to high‑speed bottle manufacturing and packaging Work directly with plant leadership to develop and execute projects involving continuous improvement, upgrades, and the resolution of re-occurring problems Rapid identification of machine problems to minimize downtime with root cause analysis to prevent re‑occurrence Partner with other Sr. Maintenance Technicians to resolve cross-functional problems Use available software systems to analyze and identify issues to drive throughput performance Define requirements and lead overhaul efforts to rebuild equipment to like-new status during planned downtime Transfer knowledge to Niagara team members to develop operating and troubleshooting procedures in bottling production specialization Operate in areas of bottling production specialization, including: Blow molding, including PET processing, machine setup, mold changes, and quality inspection systems Filling/capping, beverage processing methods, cap feeding systems with light closures, vision inspection systems and laser date coders, quality/sanitation standards, and conveying systems Labeling technology, including roll-fed and/or cut-and-stack, machine setup, hot melt gluing systems, and conveying systems Dry-end packaging including case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers Machine setup required for all pack size changes Common OEMs for production equipment: Krones, Sidel, KHS, Sacmi, Tech Long

Transfer knowledge to Niagara team members to develop operating and troubleshooting procedures in injection technology: Husky injection molding machines (hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems) Auxiliary systems including resin handling/blending, drying, dehumidification, vision inspection, conveying, and cooling Mold systems, internal hot runner and cold half maintenance, and troubleshooting through product inspection Plastic processing at high speeds while maintaining tight part tolerances and acceptable acetaldehyde (AA) levels

Create SOPs for troubleshooting machines and upload them to the BDA system; responsibility for machine reliability and mean time between failures Maintain regular, predictable attendance and on-call availability as essential for ensuring equipment and facility uptime Stand or walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment; lift up to 50 lbs; bring own toolbox and basic tools Note: This job description is not designed to be comprehensive; duties may change at any time with or without notice Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 6 years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment 6 years of experience in the relevant position 4 years of experience managing people and/or projects *Experience may include a combination of work experience and education* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues across multiple departments and levels Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics Proficient with shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, bench grinder, drill press, milling machine, lathe, and assorted power tools Proficient with precision measuring equipment (calipers, dial indicators, bore gauges, depth gauges) Willingness to be a technical leader and trainer within a specific area of the plant or machine center Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in a maintenance manufacturing environment 10+ years of experience in the position 6 years of experience managing people/projects Four years of experience in one of the following fields: blow molding, injection molding, packaging, or beverage Four years of experience with Krones, Husky, Sidel, or other packaging or bottling equipment One year of experience leading and developing others on the functionality and repair of equipment Two years of experience creating process improvements or continuous improvement initiatives Skilled in fabrication (mig, tig, or stick) and in electrical systems including 480VAC and 24VDC Ability to read and interpret process and instrumentation diagrams Skills in repairing variable frequency drives, servo motors and controllers, and industrial communication networks Competencies Lead Like an Owner InnovACT Find a Way Empowered to be Great Education Minimum: High School Diploma or GED Preferred: Associate’s Degree in manufacturing or related fields Certification/License Required: N/A Preferred: N/A Foreign Language Required: None Preferred: None Benefits
