Overview
The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies. The Associate intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner, maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Responsibilities Possess aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
Proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
Maintain professional appearance consistent with job requirements.
Properly set up and prepare event table for execution.
Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
Complete expense reports as per company policy.
Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
Access the internet, navigate company electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
Qualifications Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills:
Proficient in using and navigating a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Local Food handlers permit may be required.
Physical Demands:
Stand and walk during shift; use hands/fingers; reach overhead up to 65 inches; talk/see; stoop/kneel/squat/climb; balance; lift/carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push/pull wheeled demonstration cart; prepare foods using required appliances; be in contact with cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
Work Environment:
Retail store environment; limited travel.
Physical Appearance:
Ensure professional appearance and proper grooming per retailer dress code.
Language:
English primary; bilingual may be required.
