Overview The Associate is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies. Intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner, while maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job. Pay Rate is $15.00/hour.
Responsibilities
Possesses aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
Desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
Effectively communicates the features and benefits of the product.
Prepares and serves food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
Maintains a clean, sterile, and safe work station using cleaning chemicals.
Maintains a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
Properly sets up and prepares event table for execution.
Achieves 100% execution on assigned work.
Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections.
Builds and maintains rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
Completes expense reports as per Company Policy.
Accurately prepares and submits all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
Accesses the internet, navigates company electronic systems, uses Microsoft Outlook, and views assigned documents including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
The role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company may adjust the role based on business needs. Additional tasks may be performed as directed by management.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination.
Computer Skills: Proficient in using and navigating personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems.
Certificates/Licenses: Local Food handlers permit may be required.
Physical Demands: Stand and walk during shift; use hands and fingers to handle; reach with arms up to 65 inches; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat; climb or step up ladder; balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds); push and pull wheeled demonstration cart fully laden; prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; contact cleaning supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Work Environment: Retail store environment, limited travel.
Physical Appearance: Professional appearance; proper grooming; dress code per retailer.
Language Skills: English primary; bilingual may be required.
