Special Education Teacher – Ingham County, MI
This full‑time, in‑person position offers an exciting opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs through individualized instruction and collaborative teamwork. Responsibilities
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with each student’s individual needs. Provide direct instruction in academic and functional skills within inclusive and resource settings. Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to adapt curriculum and strategies. Conduct progress monitoring, data collection, and assessment to inform instruction and IEP updates. Maintain compliance with IDEA and Michigan Department of Education requirements. Engage parents, guardians, and team members through effective communication and partnership. Qualifications
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Special Education endorsement (required). Knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and documentation procedures. Experience teaching or supporting students with disabilities preferred. Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills. Administrative certification (preferred, not required) – candidates with administrative credentials are encouraged to apply. Passion for promoting equitable education for all learners. What We Offer
