Responsibilities
Observe the safety and wellbeing of swimmers (90% of time)
Observe weather conditions and react to rapid changes (5% of time)
Clear the pool of guest/lost items and secure the gate when closing
Supervise pool activity, including obtaining pool keys, keeping storage closets organized, and cleaning pool deck or trash before use
Manage pool opening and closing per group reservations (8am‑10pm) and coordinate schedule with supervisor
Qualifications
Certified lifeguard and first‑aid training through American Red Cross (training will be provided if not obtained)
Physical ability to complete required swim tasks: 350‑yard continuous swim with 2 minutes of treading water, 200‑yard continuous swim, retrieve a ten‑pound life‑guard brick from 7‑foot depth, retrieve 3 rings from 4‑7 foot depth in one breath
Minimum age 16 years
