Primary function:
Participate in activities with children to enhance their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. Work with infants, toddlers, preschool, and school age students.
Essential duties & responsibilities:
Assist teachers with daily activities.
Ensure the safety of children.
Follow childcare licensing guidelines.
Conduct activities that contribute to the care, growth, and development of children.
Greet parents and provide positive feedback.
Maintain regular and predictable in-person attendance.
Support the OCS vision and mission.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED, required.
Experience or desire to work with preschool and school age children.
Ability to interact positively with students, parents, and staff.
Knowledge of basic physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children.
Alternative qualifications acceptable as determined by the Board.
Starting hourly pay rate:
$14.61 - $19.48 per hour based on education and the 2025-26 OELC Salary Schedule
