Responsibilities

Prepare items per customer requests using proper equipment.

Offer product samples and share specials.

Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes.

Recommend bakery items to meet customer needs.

Operate ovens, refrigerators, freezers, and other kitchen equipment.

Follow temperature logs and cooking/baking instructions.

Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to recipes.

Package, label, and inventory ingredients.

Check product quality and review sell‑by dates.

Stock and inventory merchandise.

Report ordering or shipping discrepancies.

Recognize store layout for product location.

Stay current with ads and product knowledge.

Monitor inventory and temperature logs.

Promote trust, respect, and safety among associates.

Maintain a welcoming environment for customers.

Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.

Identify and report unsafe conditions.

Display a positive attitude and perform preventive maintenance.

Report accidents and safety risks.

Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Outstanding customer service skills.

Willingness to learn food production and basic cooking techniques.

Effective communication and teamwork ability.

Strong work ethic and ability to work fast‑paced with urgency.

Basic math skills.

Current food‑handlers permit (obtainable upon employment).
