Housekeeping Team Lead

for our Stephens Care Center. This is a Monday-Friday 7:30a-4:00p position and is required to cover weekends and holidays as needed. The Team Lead will provide direct service and plans and coordinates the activities of a Housekeeping Team to ensure they meet the production expectations and continued sanitary conditions for their area of the Kendal community. More specifically, the supervisor will have responsibilities including but not limited to:

Developing, coaching, and evaluating staff to assist staff members in reaching team operational and community goals.

Maintaining regular staff meetings to assure good communication.

Conducting routine inspections and quality assessments of all service areas.

Assisting in reviewing, evaluating, and modifying preventive maintenance (PM) programs on cleaning equipment periodically or as needed.

Responds to off-duty emergencies, staff absences and special events by coordinating coverage or serving as relief for uncovered areas as needed.

Effectively training and assessing new staff member’s ability to meet performance standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

Prior experience in a Lead or Supervisory role preferred.

Experience in a healthcare facility highly desirable.

Detail-oriented and knowledgeable in the use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and cleaning/operating techniques including all aspects of floor care procedures.

Leads, trains, and evaluates staff in the performance of their jobs; basic knowledge of purchasing, inventory, scheduling, and budget compliance.

Stands and walks 85% of shift.

Able to walk, climb, bend, push, stoop, pull, crawl, lift, and carry objects over 30 pounds and drive, etc., with no more than minor correctable deficiencies in hearing and sight.
