Part Time Resident Advisor
Asset Living is a third‑party management firm and a proven partner in fostering thriving communities nationwide. It manages properties across the country in multifamily, single‑family home rentals, affordable housing, build‑to‑rent, active adult, and student housing divisions.
Resident Advisor The Resident Advisor oversees all aspects of resident relations, leasing, and marketing at the property. Working closely with the Community Manager, the Advisor develops and maintains a residential environment conducive to student development in support of the university’s academic mission and student goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Leasing Management: lead the leasing team, ensure effective leasing techniques, and maintain accurate reporting.
Daily onsite attendance is required.
Audit lease files to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
Handle resident complaints, concerns, and requests to maintain satisfaction.
Develop and implement resident retention programs (functions, promotions, monthly newsletters, etc.).
Show, lease, and move in prospective residents.
Resident Relations Management and academic‑related services/programs in collaboration with faculty, staff, and residents.
Coordinate monthly newsletters and implement educational programming for social events.
Oversee student and community development with CA/RA staff.
Assist in developing the annual marketing plan and budget, and execute marketing campaigns.
Monitor leasing/renewal progress and supervise planning, preparation, and implementation of events.
Maintain product knowledge of the property, competition, and market conditions; produce weekly market survey reports.
Utilize sales and marketing strategies to increase property traffic and achieve occupancy goals.
Assist Community Manager in screening, hiring, training, coaching, and developing on‑site staff.
Ensure staff compliance and consistency with company policies and training benchmarks.
Provide excellent customer service and monitor maintenance service requests.
Maintain property appearance and oversee repairs; conduct regular inspections.
Supervise business functions related to operations and manage property resources and supplies efficiently.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred or one year’s experience in the housing industry.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with on‑site software.
Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
Regular movement and communication tasks, including repeated wrist, hand, and finger motions.
Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and step stools; remain stationary for prolonged periods.
Occasional lifting of objects up to 25 lbs., operating machinery or vehicles, and work in various environments (indoor/outdoor, confined spaces, extreme temperatures).
Compensation Asset Living offers a comprehensive total rewards package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, accidental, and disability insurance, a 401(k) with employer matching, and commission and performance bonuses. Full‑time employees also receive paid sick days and company holidays.
Salary Range:
$16 per hour to $18 per hour
