Road Technician 2 – Chattanooga, TN
Join Sunbelt Rentals as a Road Technician 2. We are looking for skilled technicians to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of equipment, including aerial work platforms, construction tools, generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel and heavy construction equipment.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement solutions.
Work in remote and on‑site locations, ensuring safety and minimizing downtime.
Maintain accurate service records and follow company procedures.
Adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; trade school or equivalent training preferred.
3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction or specialty lines.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required.
Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting fundamentals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location.
Physical Demands Bending, squatting, crouching; lifting 50 pounds or more; work indoors or outdoors as required.
Pay Range $22.40 – $30.80 per hour. Starting rate may vary based on location, education, training and experience.
