Part-Time Trades Tech – Warehouse
Position within Gwinnett County Government. Part‑time with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year. Not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.
Job Description The Trades Tech (part‑time warehouse) is responsible for maintaining records of the inventory of equipment and supplies, receiving shipments and verifying their accuracy, pulling orders from inventory, and delivering them to the appropriate site.
Essential Duties
Deliver mail, supplies and fuel to Parks & Recreation facilities
Assist in pulling and preparing warehouse orders for delivery
Verify warehouse orders are accurate before loading onto truck
Record fuel delivery in the Computerized Asset Management program
Read and respond to emails
Conduct quarterly and annual warehouse audits
Provide customer assistance, including pulling orders
Maintain inventory level
Assist with quarterly and annual warehouse audits
Support and assist the department with countywide initiatives
Other Job Requirements/Information
This is a safety-sensitive position that requires a pre‑employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
Hourly Rate Salary: $16.80 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 16 years of age
Valid driver’s license from state of residency (required)
General customer service experience and communication skills
Basic knowledge of warehouse and inventory principles
Basic knowledge of general office equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Experience using a computer and applicable software
Strong work ethic and detail oriented
Ability to obtain forklift certification within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
One year of experience in warehouse, customer service and general office work
Forklift certification
