Security Officer 1 (Unarmed Security)
Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, physicians, students, vendors, and visitors.
Monitor and patrol facilities, provide customer service, and assist with disruptive incidents and emergency services.
Conduct personal protection and traffic/parking control as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education High school graduate or GED required (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Minimum Experience Two to three years in a security role, law enforcement, or military background.
Required Certifications & Licensure
Level II Noncommissioned Security Officer with Texas Commission on Private Security within 60 days of hire.
Valid state driver’s license.
Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (Basic Life Support) on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within 60 days of employment or transfer date into the department.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure
Texas Security Officer Commission Level III.
Vaccination Requirement Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination. If offered the position and required to be vaccinated, employees must show proof of full vaccination or obtain approval of a religious or medical exemption before the start date. Exemptions must submit to regular testing per law.
