Family Support Services - Kootenai Kids Daycare
Position Summary
Provides a safe, stimulating environment for young children. Creates and implements activities and lesson plans that simultaneously engage and educate children.
Responsibilities
Incorporates child development using a child’s natural inclination to play
Conducts individual and group activities to encourage learning and develop social interaction skills
Provides diverse basic care needs, including preparing and supplying proper nutrition, performing cleaning duties and dealing with behavioral issues
Communicates with parents to discuss a child's educational development
Maintains appropriate records of attendance and activities
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
6 months' experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred
CPR/AED/First Aid for the Adult, Child and Infant required
State background check including fingerprinting required
Active participant in the Idaho Stars Rise program upon hire and continuing education required
Working Conditions
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds
Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
Frequent kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling climbing and twisting
