Summary The UCCS Dishwasher ensures that the dishes and dishwashing facilities are kept clean and in working order. The Dishwasher ensures that all dining areas are always stocked with clean and sanitized dishes. Dining and Hospitality Services operating principles are Respect, Trust, and Growth.
This position is designated as essential services. The ability and willingness to work a variable schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required. Must be committed to student employment and professional development opportunities for students.
Essential Functions
Maintain dish room organization, dish cleaning equipment, and sanitation records and logs.
Ensure all dishes and kitchen equipment are clean and sanitized.
Perform posted opening and closing duties.
Maintain the proper storage of food items and kitchen equipment in designated storage areas.
Ensure that sanitary and HACCP procedures are maintained in assigned areas.
Assist the culinary team in occasional preparation of food.
Maintain health code compliance including temperature, safe food handling procedures, and proper sanitary procedures.
Tentative Search Timeline
Priority will be given to applications submitted by: January 4th, 2026.
Potential interview dates: January 5th - January 9th, 2026.
Potential start date: Mid-January 2026.
Qualifications
This is an entry level food service position.
Foundational knowledge of food safety, culinary technique, and preparation is preferred.
