Security Officer, Evenings, Baptist Beaches
Job Summary
We are looking to add a Security Officer to our Protective Services Department at Baptist Beaches. This is a full-time evening position, with the working hours of 2:30 PM-11:00 PM. The Security Officer’s primary function is to assure the day‑to‑day safety and security of patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring the medical center properties. As patient safety and experience are top priorities, this growing team is currently implementing new technologies such as metal detectors.
Shift Details : Monday – Friday, Full‑Time, Evenings, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Location : Baptist Beaches, 1350 13th Avenue South, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250
Responsibilities
Reporting any unusual circumstances and taking appropriate corrective actions
Ensuring protection of individuals from harm by monitoring for safety hazards
Providing escort services
Responding to unsafe situations
Enforcing hospital parking regulations
Assisting individuals with obtaining help for vehicle problems
Education Required
High School Diploma/GED
Education Preferred
Associate's Degree
Experience
1-2 years Law Enforcement Experience
1-2 years Law Enforcement Experience Preferred
1-2 years Security Officer Experience Preferred
1-2 years Military Experience Preferred
1-2 years Security Officer Experience

License and Certification
International Assn for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) Advanced Certification (Preferred) or
