Job Title Groundskeeper
Salary $18 to $19 per hour
Schedule Monday-Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm

About the Groundskeeper Position We’re looking for a talented groundskeeper responsible for the meticulous upkeep of the grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, tour path, parking lots, and other areas of the assigned property, maximizing the property’s marketing appeal with the highest level of customer satisfaction in mind.
Responsibilities
Remove trash and other debris from office areas and property perimeter daily.
Assist in the preparation of market‑ready units.
Pressure wash exterior buildings, sidewalks, etc.
Assist with property emergencies (snow removal, inclement weather, fires, floods).
Clean available apartments and/model homes and common areas as directed.
Address property maintenance concerns related to inclement weather.
Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, interacting courteously and professionally with current and prospective residents.
Preserve confidentiality of applicants and residents.
Foster a positive, active, collaborative relationship with residents, other properties, and associated agencies.
Clearly and immediately report any maintenance and/or life‑safety issues identified during assigned duties.
Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills & Requirements
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, current auto insurance required.
Ability to read, write and understand English.
Ability to use general office equipment.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
Ability to cope with and defuse situations involving angry or difficult people.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Professional appearance and compliance with uniform policy.
Compliance with all safety requirements.
Complete and pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing, Diversity and Inclusion Training within 30 days of employment.
Ability to shovel snow, apply ice melt and operate a commercial snow blower.
Passionate about meticulous curb appeal.
