Job Summary This role enhances student retention and success rates by providing personalized coaching, data‑driven interventions, and academic support to online students throughout the credential journey. The Online Student Success Coach fosters community connections, maintains academic records, and collaborates across departments to improve student outcomes.

Responsibilities

Advise & Engage:

Provide individualized coaching and support to enhance academic performance and student experience; offer time management, study skills, and early interventions for at‑risk students; refer students to campus resources and collaborate with counseling, faculty, and staff.

Record Management:

Maintain accurate notes, record student meetings, emails, and calls; use SIS, CRM, and LMS systems to track academic progress and retention activities.

Resource Development:

Coordinate online tutoring, advising, and mental health resources; partner with IT to maximize digital tools; align support services with institutional goals.

Additional Duties:

Perform job‑related tasks as required, including Title IX, FERP A, and compliance activities; participate in professional development.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.

At least one year of experience in education, counseling, psychology, or a professional corporate setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with online students.

Master's degree in an accredited institution.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge:

Online learning landscape, student development theories, digital technology proficiency (LMS, SIS).

Skills:

Effective communication, problem solving, organization, interpersonal, teaching of study‑skill skills.

Abilities:

Empathy, cultural competence, adaptability, proactive engagement, motivational influence.

Shift / Salary / Benefits Shift: Days, Monday‑Friday (outside business hours may be required). Pay Band: B8 Salary: Minimum $45,400/yr; Midpoint $47,551.69/yr; commensurate with qualifications. Recruitment period: Until Filled. Benefits include health, dental, life insurance, retirement plan, vacation, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays. Tuition assistance available after 6 months of employment.
