Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for an Engineering - Technician with a multinational science and technology company in Pensacola, FL. This is a 6-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA‑compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Schedule:
M-F 7am-4pm, with possible overtime when HM approves.

What you’ll do
Perform mechanical and/or electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of all manufacturing and facilities equipment
Supervise upgrades/modifications to all equipment in order to maintain an “As New Status” (Includes function and appearance)
Identify key areas for improvement and execute the corrective action
Manage and execute small‑scale equipment & facility projects
Perform and execute Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
Execute equipment startup, equipment support and calibration
Supervise contractors (plumbers, electricians, etc.) and coordinate mechanical assemblies
Communicate in a timely manner relevant information pertaining to specific programs and engineering disciplines
Lead FMEAs for equipment upgrades, changes or obsolescence
Utilize Root Cause Analysis in problem solving and troubleshooting
Train/mentor maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and problem solving
Who you are
Knowledgeable of engineering principles and common commercial components and the ability to apply them
PLC knowledge and experience
Lean experience a plus
Working knowledge of engineering standards and safety codes
Working knowledge of facility‑related infrastructure, boilers, compressors, etc.
Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and processes
Working knowledge of MS applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
Understanding of AutoCAD use and application, working knowledge a plus
Three to five years of applicable experience in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering disciplines. Or entry‑level with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical engineering or equivalent experience is required
