Responsibilities
Perform mechanical and/or electrical maintenance and troubleshooting of all manufacturing and facilities equipment
Supervise the upgrades/modifications to all equipment in order to maintain an "As New" status (includes function and appearance)
Identify key areas for improvement and execute corrective action
Manage and execute small‑scale equipment & facility projects
Perform and execute Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
Execute equipment startup, support, and calibration
Supervise contractors (plumbers, electricians, etc.) and coordinate mechanical assemblies
Communicate timely relevant information pertaining to specific programs and engineering disciplines
Lead FMEAs for equipment upgrades, changes, or obsolescence
Utilize Root Cause Analysis in problem solving and troubleshooting
Train/mentor maintenance technicians in troubleshooting and problem solving
Qualifications
Knowledge of engineering principles and common commercial components, with the ability to apply them
PLC knowledge and experience
Lean experience a plus
Working knowledge of engineering standards and safety codes
Working knowledge of facility‑related infrastructure, boilers, compressors, etc.
Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment and processes
Working knowledge of MS applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Understanding of AutoCAD use and application; working knowledge a plus
Three to five years of applicable experience in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering disciplines
Or entry level with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical engineering or equivalent experience is required
