PlayCore
The primary purpose of this position is to Fabricate and Weld steel parts according to blueprint specifications. Welders are called to use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new metal forms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products
Follow blueprints to meet product specifications
Calculate material measurements to verify specifications
Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance
Assemble and weld structures, sub-assemblies and be responsible for filing, burring and welding
Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
Work in a team environment to achieve quality and quantity according to customer needs
Maintain a clean and safe workspace
Safely operate all equipment
Operate and maintain a MIG welder without supervision
Perform other duties as assigned

Experienced or technical training as a structural welder with the ability to join, fabricate and weld metal tube and pipe
Travel
This position requires minimal to no travel

Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems
Other Requirements
Ability to perform MIG welding thin gauge, mild steel and other weld-able material by applying appropriate welding techniques
Able to read and understand a tape measure, weld symbols and welding gauges
Must be able to interpret blueprint specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine and apply appropriate welding processes
Fabrication abilities
Able to MIG Weld
Ability to recognize and perform to AWS standards
Ability to perform inspection of welded fabrications
Other Skills
Timeliness of work completion
Compliance and execution with company policies
Limit lost time
Development and participation in scheduling systems that provide a smooth interface between disciplines
Reduction in lead time to the customer from order to delivery
