CNC Machinist | Ludington, MI
Salary Range:
$44,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, etc.) according to specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.
Load raw materials and unload finished parts from CNC machines.
Perform in-process and final quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
Monitor machine performance, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot minor issues.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Recommended Qualifications
Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for machine programming and editing.
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic troubleshooting of machine operations.
Bonus Qualifications
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360)
Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators)
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
Welding or general fabrication experience
