1st and 2nd shift About The Role We are seeking a skilled and safety-biased Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in a chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting electrical systems, including high‑voltage distribution and industrial control systems. This role is critical to support aggressive growth and ensure the continuous and safe operation of our machinery and facility infrastructure. The position requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, ability to work independently, and as a part of a team.
What You’ll Accomplish
Perform preventive electrical maintenance on all equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and electronic systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), motor control centers (MCCs), and instrumentation.
Read, interpret, and use complex industrial electrical schematics, blueprints, technical diagrams, and equipment manuals.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Wisconsin electrical codes.
Work with a variety of specialized tools and diagnostic equipment, such as multimeters, meggers, and oscilloscopes, to diagnose and repair electrical faults.
Install and maintain conduit, wiring, and electrical apparatus in a heavy industrial environment.
Collaborate with engineers, maintenance team, contractors, and production staff to identify and resolve electrical issues and support plant modifications or upgrades.
What Are We Looking For
Must hold a valid Wisconsin Journeyman Electrician License (Class B) or Master Electrician License (Class A).
Proven experience as an electrician in an industrial setting, such as a chemical plant, power plant, or wastewater treatment facility.
Strong understanding of industrial control systems, instrumentation, motor control, and power distribution.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics and blueprints.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of NFPA 70E guidelines for working on and around energized equipment.
Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including confined spaces and at heights.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Willingness to work on evening shift, frequent weekends, and/or on‑call basis for emergency repairs, as needed.
